Selwyn Davis (1980-1983) distinguished himself as one of the all-time greats in the annals of Wagner football, starting on the offensive line from the moment he set foot on campus. His accolades include being named First-Team Associated Press All-American Offensive Tackle in 1983. Davis was also a two-time College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) All-American (1982, 1983) and a three-time First-Team ECAC selection (1981, 1982, 1983). His career at Wagner was defined by winning as he helped lead the Seahawks to a combined record of 33-6-2 and holds the distinction of playing on the first three teams coached by present head coach and athletic director, Walt Hameline. His tenure with the Seahawks included berths in two NCAA Playoffs as well as a trip to the ECAC Playoffs in 1982.
