Hall of Fame
One of Wagner Hall of Fame coach Gela Mikalauska’s first blue-chip recruits, Cindy Bonforte established herself as one of the most dominant frontcourt players in Seahawk history. Bonforte became just the second player to score 1,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds, finishing with 1,239 points and 1,128 rebounds, both of which still stand out in program annals.
Additionally, she has three of the top five single game rebounding performances including a school-record 30 caroms against Queens in 1982-1983. Over her final two season Bonforte led the Seahawks to a 44-15 record including a school-record 17 game winning streak during the 1983-84 season and the Cosmopolitan Conference Championship in 1984-85.
