Matty Tricorico was a lettermen on the Wagner basketball team from 1960-1963 helping the Seahawks to a 37-36 record. As a senior he was chosen Team MVP, in helping the Green & White to a 16-6 record. Despite standing only 6-2, he averaged a double-double with nearly 12 points and 11 rebounds per game during his final season. In one of Wagner's Greatest Games, he also helped lead the Seahawks to an 88-83 upset of nationally ranked and undefeated Seton Hall. An impressive defender, Tricorico's toughness underneath the boards was a vital foundation as he constantly went up against much taller players. An early sign of his later achievements came as a rookie when he was awarded team MVP for the J.V. squad when freshmen were not permitted to play varsity. Tricorico is a retired FBI agent, working with fellow Hall of Fame Inductee Frank Spero. His daughters Suzanne Romani and Elizabeth Morrison both graduated from Wagner.
