Nia (Ryan) Campbell (1996-2000) was a dominant 5-10 forward for the Seahawks, who ranks No. 4 on the Wagner all-time scoring list with 1,565 career points and is No. 8 in all-time rebounds with 815. The Brooklyn, NY native was a First-Team All-Northeast Conference (NEC) selection in both her junior (1998-99) and senior (1999-00) seasons. As a senior, she paced the Seahawks with a 17.3 scoring average, which ranked No. 4 in the NEC, while pulling down a team-high 8.1 rebounds per game. Ryan led the Seahawks to NEC Tournament semifinal appearances in each of her first three seasons on Grymes Hill before guiding Wagner to the 1999-2000 NEC Championship game. In her junior and senior seasons combined, she led the Seahawks in scoring in 34 of 58 games played. In an NEC quarterfinal win over Sacred Heart on March 3, 2000, Ryan went for a career-high 28 points. During one stretch late in her junior season of 1998-99, Ryan tallied 20 or more points in nine consecutive games. A member of the NEC All-Tournament team as both a junior and a senior, Ryan served as captain of the 1999-2000 Seahawks as a senior.
