One of the finest quarterbacks in Wagner football history, Don Cavalli (1958-1961) graduated with a plethora of Seahawk passing records. During his time as Wagner’s starting signal caller, Cavalli threw for a then school record 4,393 yards and a still-record 52 touchdowns while displaying excellent leadership qualities in guiding the Green & White to a four-year record of 24-10-0. In 1960 Cavalli, led the Seahawks to a perfect 9-0-0 record. During that season, the first undefeated one at Wagner since the inception of football in 1927, Cavalli passed for 1,502 yards and 18 touchdowns.Â
