Growing up in an athletic family of eleven children, Grace Paterno-Solomon became one of the greatest female rebounders in school history, helping the Green & White to a 44-15 record (21-7 league) over her final two years. Paterno-Solomon averaged 9.4 rebounds per game and tallied 834 for her career, ranking sixth all-time in school history both rebounding categories. She was known on the team as "the trailer" during fast breaks, which led her to utilize a classic jump shot that enabled her to notch 1,328 points, which at the time were the second-most in school history. Paterno-Solomon also ranks among the school-leaders with more than 300 free throws made. A member of the 1983-1984 team that still holds the school record for 17 consecutive wins en route to a program-best 24 she is remembered for her "team-first" attitude. Grace resides in Spring Lake, NJ with her husband Larry and their son Andrew.
