Hall of Fame
Having been associated with Seahawks Athletics for virtually his entire life, Dr. Albert Accettola, a 1941 Wagner graduate who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1994, served Wagner well in his long-time friendship with the college. Since the inception of the Hall of Fame, he has served as a member of various committees, including a term on the Wagner College Board of Trustees.
Dr. Accettola was a fixture on the Seahawk sidelines as the team physician for 40 years, taking care of the Seahawk’s finest athletes. His caring when beyond physical treatment, as he formed a special relationship with those that donned the Green and White. As a long time surgeon at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Accetola is the Director Emeritus of St. Vincent’s Medical Center and is Emeritus Chief of Orthopedics at Staten Island Hospital.
