The first softball player to enter the Wagner Hall of Fame, Diane Gryziec-Massa (1980-1983) was a standout performer on the diamond for head coach Sue Parla. She started 23 games in her career and went the distance in all 23. As a senior, she twice notched a season-best seven strikeouts in a game, one of which came in a victory over Army.

At the plate she posted a .403 batting average as a senior, playing the outfield when not pitching. She added 14 RBI during the 1983 season, including driving in three against Rider. A versatile athlete, she also played for the women’s basketball team in her freshman season for Hall of Fame coach Gela Mikalauskas.
