Donald Edwards (1978-1981 was a dominating presence along the defensive line throughout his highly-productive and well-honored playing career that spanned from 1978-1981. Equally proficient at defending the run and the pass, Edwards was a fearsome force who led the Seahawks to a combined 17-3 record over his junior and senior seasons.

He earned Kodak and CoSIDA All-American honors in both 1980, when he helped the Green & White to an 8-2 record and again in 1981 when his fine play helped spearhead a 9-1 campaign.Voted a captain of the 1981 team, Edwards led the Seahawks in sacks in both 1980 and 1981 and was an ECAC First-Team selection both of these years. In 1981, he was named the Lieutenant Nick Lia Defensive MVP Player of the Game.Â
