As a member of the Wagner College Basketball team, Arthur Redmond accumulated a great number of honors. As a freshman, in 1981-82 Redmond was named ECAC Metro Rookie of the Year, in addition to being a member of the All-Metro fourth team. In 1982-83, he again was named to the All-Metro fourth team as well as the ECAC Metro First Team. As a fifth-year senior, he was a Haggerty Award Finalist and named Honorable Mention All-American. Redmond graduated as the seventh leading scorer in Seahawk history with 1,291 points while connecting on 52.8 percent of his shots. During the 1984-85 season, he led the NEC in field goal percentage with a .560 mark and was instrumental in Wagner's 84-77 upset victory over Duke on Jan. 5, 1983 in Cameron Indoor Stadium, scoring 22 points. After graduation, Redmond played professional basketball in Argentina. Following graduation Redmond served as a police officer and as a basketball coach at among other places Wagner College. He and his wife Wagner alumnae Angela (Class of 1985) have three children; Ashlee, Artis and Amberlee.
