A hard-nosed 6-0, 260-pound defensive tackle, Charles Stinson capped his Wagner career in 1986 when he was named a Kodak First-Team All-American. Stinson was also named Second-Team All-American by Football News and Pizza Hut. A local product who played his prep ball at Susan Wagner High School on Staten Island, he starred on Wagner teams that combined to win 76 percent (32-10-1) of their games from 1983-1986. In his final campaign, Stinson served as a team captain and his fine play up front helped spearhead a defense that held opponents to an average of less than 14 points per game in each of the 1985 and 1986 seasons. Thanks in large measure to his leadership and toughness, the Seahawks compiled 9-2 records in both 1985 and 1986. Stinson serves in a managerial position with Meadwestvaco, a global packaging solutions provider, and resides in Powhatan, VA with his wife Valerie and children Donovan and Sydney.
