Gerri McCormick-Coughlin was arguably one of the top point guards in the history of the women's basketball program. A four-year letterwinner from 1982-1986 she holds the Wagner school-record (men's and women's) with 716 career assists while helping lead the Seahawks to a 73-41 record. McCormick-Coughlin was the first full-scholarship point guard in the program's history and did not disappoint, helping Wagner to the Cosmopolitan Conference Championship in 1985 and a 20-10 record. As a sophomore in 1983-84 she guided Wagner to a school-best 24 wins, including 17-straight at one point. She played with previous Hall of Fame inductees Stephanie Samuels, Maureen Coughlin-Hannafin, Grace Paterno and Cindy Bonforte. McCormick-Coughlin and her husband Dennis have two children; Joseph and Krista.
