Peter Rapp earned two varsity letters playing soccer at Wagner under head coach William Lied in 1968 and 1969. A defender, many consider Rapp the best soccer player to ever play for the Green & White. Upon graduation, Rapp worked his way up to Director of Athletics and Physical Education at Staten Island Academy and is the longest tenured faculty member in school history, currently serving as Emeritus Director. He also served as the Academy's varsity baseball coach and varsity soccer coach for over 30 years. Rapp has been active on the executive boards of numerous youth leagues on Staten Island and served two different terms as elected board member of the Athletic Directors Community of the New York State Association of Independent Schools. He also was the commissioner of the Private Schools Athletic Association (PASS) baseball league and works as coordinator of soccer and basketball for the Athletic Conference of Independent Schools (ACIS). Rapp and his wife Martha have two children; Dr. Terri Lynne and Peter.
