STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Wagner Basketball will tip off the 2026-27 season with Seahawk Madness on Saturday, Oct. 3, bringing the Seahawks' men's and women's basketball teams together with fans for an evening of entertainment, on-court competitions, team introductions and more at the Spiro Sports Center. Admission is free.

The event begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening to the public at 6 p.m. The festivities will feature team introductions, a skills challenge, dunk contest, a three-point contest and performances from Wagner's cheerleading and dance teams.

Fans can also enjoy a live DJ, free pizza and a poster giveaway.

The Wagner women will open the 2026-27 season on Monday, Nov. 2, at home against SUNY Cortland inside the Spiro Sports Center, with tip-off set for 7 p.m.

The Wagner men will open the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 3, against Boston College at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass. Before the regular season begins, the Seahawks will travel to the College of Staten Island for an exhibition against the Dolphins on Saturday, Oct. 24, with tip-off set for 7:18 p.m.
