Wagner College Athletics

Peter Demeropoulos (1980-1982) was one of the most dominant offensive linemen in Seahawk history, possessing a unique combination of athleticism, quickness and strength. The standout guard was named to the Associated Press (AP) and CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors Association) Second Teams. After transferring to Wagner from West Virginia, Demeropoulos excelled in one of the great eras of Green & White football, helping lead his teams to a combined 25-4-1 record (.850 winning percentage).
 
The Seahawks were 8-2 in 1980, 9-1 in 1981 and 8-1-1 during his senior season of 1982, a year where he served as co-captain. He and fellow Hall of Famer Selwyn Davis helped pave the way for running back Alonzo Patterson to gain 1,487 yards rushing in 1981 and 1,351 yards on the ground in 1982. Following Wagner, he inked a free agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles before the 1983 season.
