Johnson City, TN - Week two of the 2022 season has the Wagner baseball team traveling down to Johnson City, TN where they will square off against the East Tennessee State University Buccaneers in a three-game set, beginning on Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. The series continues Saturday with a 2:00 p.m. first-pitch before concluding on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

- The Seahawks and the Buccaneers have faced off seven times with ETSU winning all seven contests.

Last Time Out For The Seahawks:
- Wagner trailed 7-3 heading into the ninth inning but managed to score twice before falling to the College of Charleston, 7-5, in the series finale last Sunday.
- Dante Faicchio went 3 for 4 on the afternoon, which included his first two home runs as a Seahawk.

- Over the first three games of the season, head coach Craig Noto had 10 of his 19 newcomers see action at Charleston.

- Matthews had his first career hit in game two of the series and first RBI in the series finale.
- Griffin Selby had his first hit on Sunday while scoring his first run as a Seahawk.
- On the mound, six of the newcomers saw action, led by Daniel Merkel and Frankie Wright.
- Merkel went four innings in the middle game of the series, striking out one and giving up one run on four hits.
- Wright struck out three batters in his 4.1 innings in his first career start for the Green & White.
- Out of the bullpen, Connor Hayden, Jake Toporek, Ruben Del Castillo and Zach Gorman, all saw their first action.

- East Tennessee State completed a three-game sweep of Northern Kentucky to open their 2022 season.
- The Buccaneers outscored the Norse, 38-14, over the three games.
- Ashton King comes into the week with a team-high seven hits and six runs scored.
- Jared Paladino drove in a team-high six RBIs over the weekend, all coming in the 12-4 win on Saturday.
