GREENWOOD, Ind. — Lukas Torres has been chosen to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America first team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Torres had already earned CSC Academic All-District honors on June 2 as one of five Seahawks selected for the honor. Torres advanced in the voting and earned a spot on the first team, selected for a combination of on-field statistics and classroom performance.
A six-year Seahawk and All-NEC first team selection in 2026, Torres graduated with his second Wagner degree in May. He earned a Master's of Business administration degree. Finishing with a 3.936 GPA, the outfielder was batting .406 this season with a team-leading 52 walks.
CSC selects 14 players from Division I as members of the Academic All-America first team. Torres is the only student-athlete from the NEC to make any of the three teams named.
