PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Former Wagner baseball pitcher Ryan Bilka was drafted by the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday as the 303rd overall pick in the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft.
Bilka, a senior out of Latham, New York, was drafted out of Miami after spending his freshman and sophomore seasons with Wagner. In his final season with the Hurricanes, Bilka posted a 5.10 ERA in 25 appearances across 30.0 innings of work, striking out 36.
Miami made an appearance in the NCAA's Gainesville Regional, taking down Troy 10-5 before falling to Florida and Troy to mark the end of its season.
In his sophomore season, Bilka led all starters with a 3.19 ERA and 1.33 WHIP to earn second team All-NEC honors. He finished with a 2.24 ERA in conference play and posted a season-high nine strikeout performance on May 4 against Sacred Heart. After leaving Grymes Hill, Bilka spent his junior season with the Richmond Spiders.
