Bridgeport, CT -  The Wagner College baseball team concludes the 2021 season with a three-game road series at Sacred Heart, beginning on Thursday afternoon from Veteran's Memorial Park in Bridgeport, CT. Thursday's first-pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. with Friday and Saturday's contests both starting at 1:00 p.m.

Last Time Out...
  • Trailing 7-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth, the Wagner College baseball team staged a late rally, plating four runs in the frame while having the tying and potential winning runs on base before falling to Bryant 7-5 in the series finale with the Bulldogs.
  • Mike Ruggiero and Griffin Schneider each had three hits for the Seahawks with Schneider and Caleb Ward driving in two RBI fro the Green and White. Tyler Sanfilippo had two hits and walked twice.

 All-Time Against Sacred Heart...
  • The Seahawks trail in the all-time series 41-39.
  • The Pioneers are riding a three-game win streak over Wagner after taking the March 26-27 series at FirstEnergy Park.

    • Gillen ranks seventh in both slugging percentage (.511) and on-base percentage (.430).
    • This season, Gillen has produced ten doubles, tied for fourth in the conference, while teammate Griffin Schneider is next with nine doubles (good for ninth in the NEC).
  • Freddy Sabido moved into sole possession of 10th place on the Wagner all-time games played list, as he has played in 192 career contests.
  • Tyler Sanfilippo needs just three hits to become the 63rd Seahawk all-time to record 100 career hits.

      • On the career list, Lauk needs five strikeouts to tie former Seahawk Kyle Morrison, who finished his Wagner tenure with 147 punch outs.
