Damian Csakai (Freehold Township, NJ / Freehold Township) reached via an error before junior
Seth Boyd (Perth Amboy, NJ / Perth Amboy) and senior
Vin Avella (Matawan, NJ / CBA) each drew walks, loading up the bases with no outs. Worthington, who hurled a no hitter in his last game, buckled down and struck out the next two batters before junior
Jared Gruccio (Landisville, NJ / Buena Regional) crushed a bases-clearing triple to the left center gap, scoring Csakai, Boyd and Avella.
Mount St. Mary's rallied for two runs with a two-out rally in the bottom of the first inning. Darr and Kyle Kane each singled before Shane Eyler walked. Caron followed with a walk, forcing in Darr. Kane then came across on a wild pitch, cutting the Seahawk lead to 3-2.
