Posted a breakout year, batting a team-best .394 (61-155) ... His .394 average ranked second in the NEC and is the eighth-best single-season mark in Wagner history ... Also registered 61 hits (9th school history), 30 runs, 32 RBI, 10 doubles, 11 stolen bases, 10 walks and was hit 13 times while reaching base at a team-best .472 clip (2nd NEC) ... Standout in the classroom as he was named to the 2009 NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll ... Had a big series vs. CCSU (4/3-4/5), batting a blistering .643 (9-14) with four runs and two walks while reaching base at a .688 clip ... Helped the Green & White take three-of-four from Mount St. Mary's (4/24-4/26), reaching base at a .500 clip (10-20) while notching four six runs, five RBI, four hits, four HBP and two walks ... 2008 Freshman Season
Saw action in 28 games, making three starts ... Hit .158 (3-19) with three runs and three walks ... Saw action in the infield and as a pinch-runner ... Recorded his first collegiate hit vs. Saint Peter's (3/13) ... Also collected hits at Winthrop (3/23) and vs. Iona (4/23) ... Played his prep ball at Buena Regional High School under the direction of George West III ... Earned four varsity letters at Buena Regional and helped the Chiefs to back-to-back Cape Atlantic League titles ... First Team All-Cape selection and Second Team All-Group 2 selection as a catcher while leading Buena Regional to a 25-7 record as a senior ...
