2009 Sophomore Season
Turned in an outstanding second campaign, batting .366 (63-172) with 28 runs, 18 stolen base, 14 doubles, four triples, two home runs, 35 RBI and seven walks while posting a .529 slugging percentage ... His .366 average ranked sixth in the NEC while his 63 hits are the seventh-best total in school history ... Also ranks third with four triples (t-2nd NEC), eighth with 14 doubles (t-10th NEC) and 10th with 18 swipes (6th NEC) ... Started all 51 games he played at shortstop ... Named to the NEC All-Tournament team after batting .538 (7-13) with five RBI and two runs over three games ... Was 3-5 with a home run, two runs and two RBI against Sacred Heart (5/23) ... Notched three hits and three RBI in win over CCSU (5/22) ... Closed out the year with a bang, batting a scorching .444 (24-54) with 12 stolen bases, 11 runs, three doubles, two triples, one home run and 12 RBI while slugging a team-best .630 over the last 15 games ... Hit safely in 14 of those games with eight multi-hit games and four multi-steal games ... Hit .239 (34-142), including .273 during NEC-games, with 13 runs, five doubles, one home run, 14 RBI, six stolen bases, one triple and 11 walks ... Ended the season on fire, batting .500 (8-16) over his last five games ... Named Akadema NEC Rookie of the Week after going 2-4 with two RBI and a run in win at Temple (3/7) ... Etched his name in the Wagner-annals by belting a grand slam in win vs. Saint Peter’s (3/13) ... The home run was the first by a Wagner player at Richmond County Bank Ballpark ... In the NEC Tournament, went 3-4 with a double and a run vs. CCSU (5/22) ... Hit .400 (4-10) with two runs, two RBI and a triple in four-game sweep of LIU (4/5-4/6) ... Was 3-6 with three runs in doubleheader sweep of Sacred Heart (5/17) ... His sacrifice fly lifted Wagner to a 2-1 game-two win over Maine (3/29) ... In win vs. Iona (4/23), went 3-4 with a double, run and RBI ... Hit .300 (3-10) in three games vs. Quinnipiac (5/2-5/3) ... Also collected three hits at CCSU (5/10-5/11) ...
