Fifth-year senior inside linebacker Max Wassel (Totowa, NJ/Passaic Valley) delivered a magnificent final month of his collegiate career, leading the Seahawks with 32 tackles, with a team-high nine tackles for loss, including two sacks, while adding two forced fumbles, one interception and one pass breakup as Wagner went 3-1 for the month. For his efforts, Wassel is the Walsh Electric Male Student-Athlete of the Month for November In Wagner’s season-ending 23-20 win at Bryant (11/22), the 5-11, 235-pound Wassel returned an interception 34 yards in the first quarter to set up Wagner's initial touchdown, setting the tone for the dramatic comeback win that gained Wagner a share of the 2014 NEC Title. Against Sacred Heart (11/1),Wassel wowed the Seahawk faithful on hand, as well as the audience viewing the game on ESPN3.com, by totaling an astounding 18 tackles, the highest individual tackling mark by an NEC player this season. Wassel’s month was capped when he was named First-Team All-NEC, one of five Seahawks who made the First Team.
