While helping to lead the Seahawks to a 4-2 record in the month of March, midfielder Lauren Ednie paced the team in goals with 19 and in draw controls with 17. In addition, she collected 22 ground balls, which was second on the team for the month, while coming up with 10 caused turnovers, which tied for third. The Verona, NJ native opened the month with a four-goal outing in a 15-11 win over Lehigh (3/3) and closed the month by matching her career high of five goals in leading the Seahawks to their first-ever victory over Columbia, a 14-10 decision on March 28. In between these two contests, Ednie recorded hat tricks on three separate occasions – vs. Stetson (3/8, UMass Lowell (3/11), and Saint Joseph’s (3/24). Following her five-goal effort in the win over Columbia, Ednie was named the Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week. For the season, Ednie has tallied at least one goal in all nine games as the Seahawks head into NEC play with an overall record of 5-4.
