Sophomore pitcher Nick Robino made nine appearances while going 3-1 with a 1.54 ERA and recording five saves for the month of April. In 11.2 innings of relief, the Wilmington, DE native gave up nine hits, three runs (two earned), while walking four and striking out 18 (4.50 : 1 strikeout-to-walk ratio), in addition to limiting opposing batters to a .225 batting average. His longest outing of the month came on April 22 at Villanova, as he tossed 2.2 scoreless innings against the Wildcats, without allowing a hit and striking out three. In April, Robino had four outings in which he struck out three or more batters, with his highest total of the month coming on April 15 at defending NEC champion Central Connecticut, as he went 1.1 innings, and fanned four Blue Devils. Robino was tough on right-handed hitters, limiting righties to just a .167 batting average for the month (5-of-30) and not allowing a two-out hit in 11 chances.
