Senior Chelsea Beck (Reading, PA / Wilson), a standout center back on the Wagner Water Polo Team, is the February Female Student-Athlete of the Month. Beck earned consecutive Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Offensive Player of the Week honors during the month. The senior co-captain capped her month with an impressive performance at the CWPA/MAAC Crossover Feb. 25-26. Beck amassed a team-best 16 points for Wagner during the competition, totaling a weekend-high four goals vs. Harvard.  The Keystone state native tacked on an additional six goals during the weekend, with three against Bucknell, two opposite George Washington and one against host Princeton.  When she wasn’t busy scoring goals herself, Beck was finding her teammates as she added six more points to her weekend tally with three assists in the win over George Washington, vs. Bucknell and one against Harvard. The previous weekend (Feb. 18-19), Beck copped her initial MAAC Offensive Player of the Week Award at Bucknell University’s Bison Invitational. Her performance in this event was highlighted by a seven-goal outburst vs. Brown. Beck added five points (three goals, two assists) vs. Bucknell and another five (two goals, three assists) vs. Hartwick, while adding two goals and one assist in the Seahawks’ match against Princeton. Leading the Green & White with 52 points on the season on the strength of a team-best 34 goals along with 18 assists, Beck has also taken over the No. 1 spot on the Seahawks’ all-time assist list with 123.
