Junior Ciaran Wolohan (Manly, Australia/St. Aloysius College/Golden West College) of Wagner’s first-year men’s water polo team has been named the Walsh Electric Men’s Student-Athlete of the Month. Wolohan leads the Seahawks in four statistical categories, including goals (28), assists (5), exclusions drawn (44), and blocks (4). The utility player has also been named to the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll two times by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA). The California native has either led the Green & White or tied for the team lead in goals on six different occasions this season. One of his best performances came when Wagner defeated its first ever nationally-ranked opponent, No. 18 St. Francis Brooklyn 12-11. The Golden West College transfer fired home two goals in the first quarter and one in the third quarter, before capping his day by draining the game-winning point with one second left on the clock.Â
