2016-17 (Jr.) Indoor Track & Field: At the Seahawk Shootout (December 9), ran to a fourth-place finish in the 60M with a time of 7.14… Bested that mark at the Penn 8-Team Select (January 21), where he placed third with a time of 7:07… At the John Thomas Terrier Invitational (January 27-28), ran 21.96 in the 200M to rank among the top-25… At the Seahawk Shootout (December 9), competed in the 300M in which he took third with a time of 35.62… As a member of the 4x400 team, along with Jordan Davenport, Thomas Schwannecke and Quincy Rasin, the quartet set a new school record, crossing the finish line at 3:18.81 at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational (January 27), placing eighth overall...Outdoor Track & Field Ran a personal-best 10.85 in the 100M during the preliminaries of the 2017 METS Outdoor Track & Field Championships (April 14-15)… In the 200M, recorded a time of 22.66 at the 2017 Larry Ellis Invitational (April 21-22), ending the event in 20th place out of 29 competitors… Helped set two outdoor school records, both occurring at the 123rd Penn Relays (April 29)… In the 4x100, along with Dylan Beard, Jordan Davenport and Quincy Rasin, the quartet sprinted to a 41.65… In the 4x200, he along with Davenport, Thomas Schwannecke and Rasin posted a finals time of 1:26.20… At the 2017 NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 6-7), in the 4x400, he, Davenport, Schwannecke and Rasin garnered All-NEC Second Team honors after placing second in the event with a time of 3:17.09.
2015-16 (So @ Western Kentucky): Indoor Track & Field Ran a personal best 6.96 in the 60m at the Vanderbilt Indoor Opener to place in the top-ten at the meet... As a member of the 4x400 team, placed first at the Gene Edmonds Invitational... Took home third place honors in the 800m with a time of 2:05.20 at the same event... Outdoor Track & Field Set a new personal-best in the 800m with a time of 1:58.39, posted at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invitational...
2014-15 (Fr @ Western Kentucky): Indoor Track & Field Competed in six meets during the indoor campaign... Posted a personal-best 1:26.48 in the 600m at Meyo Invitational to place among the top-20 in the event... Outdoor Track & Field Posted his fastest times in the 200m & 400m... At the Kentucky Relays (College Division), placed third in the 200m with a time of 21.71.... At the 2015 WKU Hilltopper Relays, finished fifth in the 400m with a time of 48.24... Was an alternate for the Hilltoppers 4x400m squad that qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Championships..
Before Wagner & Western Kentucky: Represented his native country of Zimbabwe in the 2013 IAAF World Youth Championships and the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships...Holds personal-records of 10.71 seconds in the 100m and 21.26 seconds in the 200m... Son of Washington Tongai Songore and Caroline Songore... Has two siblings, Irene and Rufaro... Plans on majoring in Economics at Wagner.
