Wagner College Athletics

2017-18 (JR) Indoor Track & Field: Competed in eight Indoor Track & Field Meets. Finished first in the high jump event at the Monmouth University OceanFirst Bank Center Collegiate Classic invitational. At the NEC Indoor Track & Field Championships Mirfield scored in both the Long jump event, where he finished 7th overall with his best jump landing 6.55m, and the high jump event where he cleared 1.89m earning him an eighth place finish. Outdoor Track & Field -  Had 11 top-10 performances with his best meet coming on Apr. 13-14 at the Metropolitan Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Mirfield clocked in a PR time of 11.32 in the 100m dash and recorded a personal best in the long jump event with a mark of 6.90. Mirfield also placed in the Outdoor NEC Conference Championships where he placed sixth in the Longjump (6.78m) and Highjump (1.86m) events. 

2016-17 (SO) Indoor Track & Field Had seven top-10 performances in the high jump during the indoor season… Finished among the top-five in four of those meets… Posted a personal-best 2.00m at the Penn 8-Team Select (January 21), in which he finished with a third-place finish… Finished fifth at the 2017 METS Indoor Track & Field Championships (February 2-3) with a finals marks of 1.89m… Long jumped to a personal-best 6.67m at the 2017 NEC Indoor Track & Field Championships (February 17-18) to finish fourth in the event…Named to the 2016-17 NEC Winter Academic Honor Roll... Outdoor Track & Field  Had six top-ten performances in the high jump… Took home first place honors in the high jump at the Wagner Quad (April 19) with a leap of 1.90m… Competed in three long jumps events during the outdoor season… Cleared 6.93m at the 2017 NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 6-7) to finish eighth in the event… Named to the 2016-17 Spring NEC Academic Honor Roll.

Before Wagner: A four-year member of the Seagull track & field program under the tutledge of coach Scott Crabbe... In the classroom, was named to the National Honor Society... All four years, he helped the team claim both Indoor & Outdoor Borough Championshps... Individually, he was the Indoor & Outdoor Borough Champion in the High Jump....Staten Island Champion in the High Jump, the 55m & 110m Hurdles.... PSAL City Champion in the High Jump... He cleared 6'4 in the High Jump to win the City Championship and ran 15.3 in the 110m Hurdles to claim the Island Championship... Son of Robert and Eun Young Mirfield... Has three siblings, Robert, James and Matthew... His brother, Robert, competed on the Monmouth University track and field team... Plans on majoring in Business Administration.
