Before Wagner: Darion Jordan-Thomas, who scored more than 1,600 career points in his high school career, was a standout at Proctor Academy in Andover, NH, before electing to spend a prep school year at Woodstock Academy. The Brockton, MA native was also a standout performer on the AAU circuit for the renowned Basketball Amateur Basketball Club (
BABC). In the summer of 2018, he helped lead his team to the Massachusetts State Championship. A 6-foot-7 big man with a 6-foot-10 wingspan, Jordan-Thomas is a long and bouncy athlete who changes the game around both rims. He's quick off his feet, able to play up near the top of the box, regarded as an elite finisher, and high-volume rebounder, especially on the offensive end. Jordan-Thomas has also competed with the Boston Amateur basketball Club (
BABC) throughout his high school years and was one of their most consistent
frontcourt prospects during the Elite Youth Basketball League (
EYBL) season, averaging 10.4 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting 56% from the field.
