2020-21 Senior Season
Earned a spot on the All-NEC First Team after a dominant season on both ends of the floor … Finished the regular season second in the league in scoring at 17.8 points per game, ninth in the circuit with 7.4 rebounds per contest and third in the NEC in steals (1.94) … One of the most efficient scorers in the country, Ford was among the top-20 players in the nation in field goal percentage, converting 59.5% of his shots throughout the regular season … Tied for the the team lead with 36 steals, while leading the team with 13 blocks… Scored a career high 31 points against Saint Francis U (2/21) …Collected a season-high 13 rebounds vs Mount St. Mary’s (3/6).
2019-20 Junior Season
Played in 28 games in his first season, earning 12 starts … Scored in double digits 12 times, including two 20-point games … Scored a season-high 22 points against St. Francis Brooklyn (2/23) … Added 21 points against Saint Francis U (2/8) … Collected double digit rebounds on three occasions, including a season-high 16 boards against CCSU (1/25) … Scored in double digits in six of seven NEC games between 1/20 and 2/13.
Before Wagner: Elijah Ford is a versatile and talented, good-sized guard who will bring experience and maturity to the Seahawk backcourt. Following a standout scholastic career at Newark, New Jersey's Weequahic High School, where he averaged nearly 24 points per game as a senior. He then attended Barton Community College where, as a sophomore, he led the Cougars to the Region VI semifinals before falling to 13
th-ranked Seward County Community. As a sophomore at Barton in 2018-19, he averaged 17.0 points per game on 59.7 percent shooting from the field in leading the Cougars to a 26-8 record, including a 15-8 conference mark. During his freshman season in 2016-17, he tossed in 11.1 points and 7.1 rebounds. Prior to his two-year junior college career, Ford helped lead the Indians to a 19-6 record as a senior in 2015-16, where he averaged 23.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, hitting for double digits in all 25 games. Additionally, he tallied 20 or more points 19 times, sored 25 or more points 10 times and 30-plus points three times, with a career-high 35 coming vs. Trenton and 34 vs. Newark Tech. He recorded 15 double-doubles in points and rebounds as a senior, in addition to posting a pair of triple-doubles with 31 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists vs. University Charter, and 18 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists vs. Science Park. He also registered a quadruple-double vs. Newark Collegiate with 25 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 blocks. His lowest scoring game was 15 points and pulled down a career-high 18 rebounds vs. Arts.
