2026 Graduate Season: Selected as the NEC’s 2026 Male Team Student-Athlete of the Year… Voted to the ABCA’s 2026 All-Region second team for the northeast… Named to the CSC’s Academic ALl-District team… Finished 2026 with a record-breaking season, finishing his graduate year batting .406 with the sixth-highest average in NCAA Division I… Also ranked sixth in OBP (.532), 16th in walks per game (.98), T-19 in hits per game (1.55), T-21 in walks (52) and T-24 in runs per game (1.23)… His 20.2 at-bats per strikeout made Torres the second hardest hitter to strikeout in Division I baseball… Named to All-NEC first team after batting .419 in the regular season and recording his 200th career hit… Led the Seahawks in average (.406), runs (65), hits (82), triples (3), walks (52), multi-hit games (26) and OBP (.532)… Went 17-for-19 on stolen base attempts… Recorded three or more hits in 11 games… Selected to Perfect Game’s Preseason 2026 All-NEC team.
2025 Graduate Season: Selected to the NEC All-Tournament team after batting .500 through three games, with three doubles and three RBIs… Named All-NEC second team after posting a team-leading .409 batting average through conference play… Logged the team’s second highest batting average (.351) for the season and led the team with three sacrifice bunts… Finished with 22 multi-hit games, with 11 multi-RBI games… Closed out the season on a 20-game streak of reaching base and 13-game hitting streak… Named NEC Player of the Week after the CCSU series win in early May, where he logged seven hits, six RBIs, two runs and a double… Named NEC Co-Player of the Week after batting .889 in the series against Delaware State, with eight hits, six runs and three RBIs.
2024 Senior Season: Made 54 appearances on the year, starting in 53 games... Logged the most at-bats with 205 as a mainstay atop the order for the Seahawks... Batted .293 with a .775 OPS, leading the team with 60 hits on the season... Recorded nine doubles and three triples while driving in 27 runs... Went 8-for-12 on stolen base opportunities... Batted .317 in conference play.
2023 Junior Season: Did not appear in any game action.
2022 Sophomore Season: Appeared in 48 games and started in 40 of them... Made his collegiate debut on on 2/18 at Charleston and recorded his first career hit and RBI on 2/25 at ETSU.
2021 Freshman Season: Did not appear in any game action.
Before Wagner: A four-year varsity member of the Barnegat High School baseball team... Also was a part of the track and field program for three years... In the classroom, a four-time Principals Honor Roll selection...National Honor Society member (2019-20)... Named Student of the Month (May, 2017 and January 2020)... Recipient for Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish (2019)... On the diamond, batted .260 over the final three years with eight RBI, ten walks and five stolen bases... Had a four-hit game and drove in two RBI at Point Pleasant Boro (5/7/18)... On the mound, went 4-2 with a career ERA of 2.79... Had a career-high six strikeouts vs. Long Branch (4/2/18)... Named team MVP (2018) and Ocean All-Star (2018)... In 2019, was named South All-Star... As a member of the track and field program, helped the 4x200 and 4x400 set school records and in 2020, the 4x400 squad qualified for the Winter Track and Field Indoor Nationals...Son of Jennifer and Julio Torres... Has three siblings, Anthoney, Kayla and Quentin... Plans on majoring in Chemistry at Wagner.
