Alex Morales scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds, but it wasn't enough, as Bryant came away with an 80-59 victory at the Spiro Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Seahawks finish the 2019-20 season with an 8-21 overall record and 5-13 Northeast Conference (NEC) mark.
Prior to tip-off, Wagner honored its two graduate students,
Curtis Cobb III and
Patrick Szpir, along with senior managers Sinae Smith and Terrell Braithwaite in a pregame ceremony.
In his final collegiate game, Cobb finished with 10 points, while Szpir grabbed four rebounds. Junior
Will Martinez was the third Seahawk in double figures on the afternoon, scoring 13 points off the bench.
The Seahawks took an early lead, as Morales scored Wagner's first six points on a triple and traditional three-point play to make it 6-5 three minutes into the contest.
Bryant answered and extended its lead to 38-24 at the midway point.
In the second half, the Seahawks battled, as Cobb scored ten points, including two threes, while junior
Elijah Ford contributed eight points in the second half, but the Bulldogs pulled away for the victory.
On the afternoon, Wagner held a 32-26 advantage in points in the paint, but Bryant outrebounded the Seahawks 45-24 to earn the win.
The Bulldogs, who were led by Adam Grant's 29 points, will face Saint Francis U in the first round of the NEC Tournament.
