Was tied for the team lead with 29 appearances in his first season on Grymes Hill, earning six starts … Led the team with 90 assists and 35 steals on the year … Scored in double digits six times, including a season-high 20 points against Wesley (11/12) … Averaged 2.7 rebounds on the year, including a season-high seven rebounds against Saint Peter’s (11/20), where he contributed a clutch traditional three-point play in overtime.

Before Wagner: Will Martinez is an athletic, versatile guard with excellent size who will bring maturity and experience to the Seahawk lineup. During the 2018-19 season at Monroe College, the Bronx, NY native averaged 12.0 points per game, 3.2 assists per game and a team-leading 2.7 steals per game. He capped his season by being named the 2019 Region XV Championship Tournament MVP after a 19-point, eight-rebound, six-steal performance in the Region Championship game against Harcum. Following the season, Martinez was named to the 2019 NJCAA Region XV Div. I All-Region Team. He poured in a career-high 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting at ASA College, to go along with seven assists and six steals. All told, he hit for double figures in 20 games on the season for the Mustangs. Prior to embarking on his collegiate career, Martinez was a standout at Wings Academy where he helped lead his team to a 22-4 record as a senior in 2015-16 which preceded a 32-3 mark during his junior year in 2014-15. In addition to going a combined 54-7 in those two seasons, he led the Wings to a perfect 32-0 record in the Bronx Class AA Division.
