Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College baseball team resumes Northeast Conference (NEC) play as they welcome defending league champions, the Bryant University Bulldogs to the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George's.

ALL-TIME SERIES: Wagner and Bryant have met thirty times with the series favoring the Bulldogs at 23-7. Wagner is 2-6 in their last eight meetings against Bryant, with those victories coming in game one of the May 15 doubleheader and game two of the May 16 twinbill, 6-4 and 5-3.

TOP ARMS IN THE CONFERENCE: As of April 2, 2017, Wagner's three starting pitchers, senior co-captain Danny Marsh (Monroe Township, NJ/Monroe Township), freshman Chris Mormile (Wildwood, NJ/Wildwood), and senior Austin Goeke (Bordentown, NJ/The Hun School) are ranked in the top three in earned run average, with Marsh leading the conference with a 0.28 ERA. The trio also occupies the top three spots in opposing batting averages, with Marsh leading the way at .159 followed by Mormile at .186 and Goeke at .190. Combined, the Seahawk starters have struck out 89 batters through the first 18 games.

GOEKE CLIMBING THE K LIST: Austin Goeke is rapidly moving up the Wagner career strikeout list. After his career-high ten strikeouts, the Bordentown, NJ native has now 147 for his career and needs just seven more to tie former Seahawk hurler, Mark Nugent ('98), who finished his career with 154.

MARSH PIT: Danny Marsh, 2017 co-captain, is making a push to record the Seahawks' lowest earned run average in program history. The Monroe Township, NJ native, who is currently second in the NCAA in ERA, will look to break former Seahawk standout and 1996 Wagner Hall of Famer Don Finley ('53), who finished the 1953 campaign with a 1.03 ERA.

GOEKE #NECPRIMEPERFORMER: On Monday afternoon, the Northeast Conference (NEC) recognized Wagner senior RHP Austin Goeke as an #NECPrimePeformer after he blanked New York Tech for 7.0 frames and fanned a career-best 10 batters in the 4-0 win.

CALA SWINGING FOR THE FENCES: Junior OF Kyle Cala (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) connected on his third home run of the season in game two of Saturday's doubleheader at NYIT. Cala tied last season's mark and needs just one home run to tie former Seahawks Joseph DiGeronimo ('07) and Eddie Brown ('12) for 18th place on the all-time home run list.

MAZZIO & GODINO JOINS 100-HIT CLUB: Junior infielder Sean Mazzio (West Chester, PA/Salesianum School [DE]) became the 56th Seahawk to record at least 100 career hits, as he currently has 105. The third-year Seahawk recorded the feat on March 29 at No. 4 St. John's, in which the junior shortstop went 3-for-4 on the afternoon. Junior outfielder Anthony Godino (Thornwood, NY/Pleasantville) became the 57th member of the 100-hit club as he went 2-for-3 against Big East members, Seton Hall.
