Staten Island, NY - Wagner (16-23) exploded for 19 runs and 21 hits as 10 different players batted safely in a 19-2 romp over Saint Peter's (13-23) in non-conference action at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. The Seahawks scored in seven of their eight innings at the plate while matching LIU Brooklyn for the most runs scored by a Northeast Conference (NEC) team in a game this year.
The 19 runs are also the most scored by the Green & White since defeating Coppin State 21-0 back on March 18, 2009, while the 21 hits are the most by a Wagner teams, since the Seahawks rapped out 22 in an 18-6 victory over Iona on April 28, 2010.

Dakota Dvorak (Pompano Beach, FL / North Broward Prep) then closed out the game, allowing one run over a combined 3.0 innings of relief.
The game was never in question as the Seahawks pounced for eight runs over the first two frames, as Alfano drove in four of the runs with a pair of two-run hits.
The Peacocks got on the board with a run in the top of the third, but would squander a bases loaded, one-out situation when Miller picked up the unconventional 8-2 double play with an outfield assist at the plate for the third and final out.
Wagner added two more runs in the bottom of the frame and then against in the fifth and sixth innings in jumping out to an 14-1 lead. After SPC scored once in the top of the seventh, the Seahawks scored twice in the seventh and three times in the eighth in providing the final 19-2 tally.
SPC RHP Eric Mozeika (1-2) took the loss, yielding eight runs, six earned, on six hits over 1.2 innings.
Matt Speckman paced Saint Peter's, going 3-for-4 with a run.
Wagner returns to action on Friday, April 20 when Iona visits the stadium with first pitch slated for 7:00 pm.
