STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Wagner College men's lacrosse team will embark on its 2026 campaign against MAAC member Sacred Heart at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
Head Coach Will Fox embarks on his second season at the helm of the Seahawks. Last season, Fox earned his first win as head coach on March 28 after a 12-11 overtime win on Hameline Field.
The Seahawks return their two highest scorers from the 2025 season — senior Jake Mitchell and junior Danny McMahon. Mitchell scored 17 goals and dished out 15 assists during his junior season while McMahon scored a team-high 22 goals and added two assists to his season totals.
During this past offseason, Wagner added 20 newcomers — Malik Mustafa, Colin Chapman, Noah Cardoza, Luke Bonanno, Cole Bonanno, Theo Kostakos, Ryan Kumer, Travis Schoolcraft, Kyler Cole, Dylan Popehn, Carter Smith, Chase Caulder, Brendan Rosato, Hudson Horiuchi, Shane Esposito, Niko Millhouse, Joshua Longwell, Justin Corson, and GianMarco Priola — and returned a total of 29 Seahawks from the 2025 roster.
Tyler Foss and Colby Cohen were named as assistant coaches this past October, joining Will Fox and Joseph Zukasukas on the sidelines.
Foss spent the 2024-25 season on the sidelines for CAA member Monmouth acting as an assistant volunteer coach; meanwhile, Cohen spent the 2024-25 men's lacrosse campaign as an Assistant Coach with Patriot League member Holy Cross.
In January, Fox announced the team's captains for the 2026 season as senior midfielder Jake Mitchell, senior attacker Smith Callaghan, senior defender Tristan McMahon, and junior defensive midfielder Terry Farrell taking on new leadership responsibilities.
After taking on the Pioneers, Wagner travels to MAAC member Manhattan for an 11 a.m. start on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Gaelic Park.
