Men's Lacrosse Finishes 2026 Season Against Robert Morris

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Wagner College men's lacrosse team completed its 2026 season with a 16-6 loss to Robert Morris on Hamline Field on Saturday.

Prior to the game, the Wagner men's lacrosse team recognized 10 Seahawks — Joe DeRiso, Max Frissora, Jake Mitchell, Drew Pemrick, Oliver Leedale-Brown, Diesel Schraufnagel, Nico Kross, Tristan McMahon, Smith Callaghan, and Vincent Santelia — for their dedication during their time as a member of the program.

On the field, junior Damon Clark scored the first goal of the day for the Seahawks (6-8, 3-4 NEC) around six minutes into the game. For Clark, his first quarter strike accounted for his fifth of the season.

The Colonials (12-3, 7-0 NEC) outscored the Seahawks 7-1 in the first quarter before winning the second quarter 6-2. Seniors Smith Callaghan and Jake Mitchell found the back of the net for the Green & White. At the half, Robert Morris held a 13-3 lead.

Wagner responded with a 3-0 third period to head into the fourth quarter trailing, 13-6. Graduate student Theo Kostakos scored a pair of goals in between Mitchell's team-leading 26th goal of the season. 

The Colonials answered with a 3-0 fourth period to prevail by a score of 16-6. 

Junior goalkeeper Angus Snow saved a career-high 21 shots on Robert Morris' 37 shots on target. The Seahawks put 21 shots on net themselves. 

Tristan McMahon collected a team-high eight ground balls to bring his career total to 105. Sophomore Cole Yoshioka earned four ground balls and one caused turnover.

As a team, the Colonials finished the game with a face-off success rate of 16-26 (61.5%) compared to 10-26 (38.4%) for the Seahawks. Robert Morris went a perfect 25-25 on clear attempts while Wagner converted on 23-29 (79.3%) of clear attempts. RMU picked up 39 ground balls to the Seahawks' 32.

The 2026 Wagner Seahawks conclude its season with a 5-8 overall record, including a 3-4 mark in conference play.
