Men’s Cross Country Rounds Out Regular Season at IC4A Championship

BETHPAGE, N.Y. — Wagner's regular season comes to a close at the IC4A Championship, the team's final meet before the NEC Championships.

It was an extended break for the Seahawks before this race, with the Paul Short Run canceled on October 2 due to excessive heat. With roughly a month of rest, Wagner competed at Bethpage State Park, which will be the site of competition for the NCAA Northeast Regionals on November 13.

The team accumulated 777 team points on the 8K course.

Senior Joel Solomon finished 180th individually with a 26:10.3 time, holding a 5:16 pace across the race. Freshman Ronald Ciaccia continues to have a strong rookie campaign, finishing second for the Seahawks with a 26:32.2 time. He finished 48th in his class.

Graduate Caleb Harman logged a 27:19.8 time, clocking in with a 5:30 pace to cross the finish third for Wagner. Junior Ignacio San Juan ran a 28:14.5 8K to finish 71st in his class. Finishing on his hip, freshman Matt Carrano posted a 28:14.7 time to round out Wagner's scoring runners.

The Seahawks head to the NEC Championships next, hosted by LIU on Saturday, Oct. 31. Held on the same course as the LIU Fall Festival, the meet will be on the Sharks' Post campus in Brookville, New York.
