BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Freshman Ronald Ciaccia has been named NEC Rookie of the Week for his opening performance at Back to the Bowl, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

Ciaccia finished ninth in the meet's 5K on Saturday, Sept. 12, logging a 17:02.3 time in his collegiate debut. The freshman was Wagner's second finisher of the meet and helped the team on the way to a third-place finish. The Seahawks combined for 71 team points.

Alongside Ciaccia, seniors Joel Solomon and Victoria Ann Dziubela earned a Prime Performer nod for both the men's and women's teams. Solomon led the way for the Seahawks, finishing second with a 16:41.5 time. On the women's side, Dziubela finished third individually with 20:38.3 time to help the team to second place.

Next up, the Seahawks will compete in the LIU Fall Festival on Friday, Sept. 18 at the Sharks' Post campus in Brookville, New York.
