Bridgewater, NJ — Head track and field coach Joe Stasi and his staff of Blerim Pocesta, Marvin Azor, Kyle Duggan and Camille Watson have been named the Northeast Conference's Women's Coaching Staff of the Year, the staff's second time earning the honor after winning it for the first time during the 2025 indoor season.
The award is determined by a vote among the conference's head coaches. Wagner earned its first outdoor championship for the women's team earlier this month after also winning the program's first ever indoor title in March.
Senior Ruth-Ann Chambers was named Most Valuable Performer at the meet, earning Most Outstanding Track Performer of the sprinters as well. She earns three first-team honors in her senior year, getting the nod in the 100-meter dash, 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles.
Joining Chambers in taking home a major award at the championship meet, sophomore Rylee Ferretti was named Most Outstanding Performer of the distance runners and was named to both the first- and second-teams. She lands on the first team for her 37:38.11 time in the 10,000-meter run and earned second-team recognition in the 5,000-meter run.
Senior Gia Comerford was named to the NEC's first team for her 10:49.85 time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase that put her atop the conference. She was also part of the 4x800-meter relay team named to the first team, joined by Angelina Olah, Magui Calvo and Laura Trenado.
Junior Elisa Parazzi rounds out Wagner's first team honorees, logging a 1.63-meter clearance in the high jump.
In addition to her first-team nod on the 4x800-meter relay team, junior Laura Trenado was named second team in two events. Her 2:15.81 time in the 800-meter run and 4:30.67 in the 1,500-meter run earned her the nod.
Senior Janee' Patterson's second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles puts her on the conference's second team with her 1:01.10 time. The Seahawks placed another relay on the all-conference list, with the 4x100-meter relay team of Christine Manneh, Chambers, Mia Petersen and June Fernandez earning second-team honors for their 46.30-second time.
Freshman Kate Connolly rounds out the Wagner honorees, named to the NEC's All-Rookie team in her first year as a Seahawk for her 42:59.52 time in the 10,000-meter run.
