Camille Watson

Former LIU sprinter Camille Watson joins Joe Stasi and company as a Graduate Assistant Coach (Sprints/Hurdles) of the Seahawks track & field program.

A Toronto, Canada native, Watson was a captain of the Sharks track & field program. She was named an NEC Prime Performer on April 12th and April 26th, 2023.

In 2023, Watson earned Second-Team All-Conference in the 4x400m relay during the indoor season. At the Indoor Championships, she would finish fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 25.47, and eighth in the 400m dash with a time of 59.81. Watson would also receive Second-Team All-Conference honors in the 4x100m relay during the outdoor season.

During the 2021-22 season, Watson was named to the Spring Academic Honor Roll, as well as earned Second-Team All-Conference in the 4x400m relay during indoor, and First-Team All-Conference in the 4x100m relay during outdoor.

Prior to her arrival, Watson acted as the Vice President of The Hidden Opponent at LIU Brooklyn. She was a founding member of the THO Chapter which advocates for wellness among student-athletes and their mental health across the NCAA, by enabling student voices to be heard.

No stranger to the NEC, Watson graduated from LIU with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology. Watson also earned a Certificate in International Relation, Language, & Diplomacy. She will be pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration while her time on Grymes Hill.
