Wagner College Athletics

Kyle Duggan has been named as an assistant coach for the Seahawks’ track & field program, a former head coach of Union County College's men's and women's cross country and track & field programs. 

Under head coach Marvin Azor for the 2025-2026 athletic year, Duggan helped coach the men's outdoor track & field team to an NEC Championship, with two student-athletes qualifying to participate in NCAA Regionals in three events. For that outdoor performance, Azor and his staff were named the NEC Coaching Staff of the Year. Wagner tallied 17 All-NEC selections for outdoor track & field season, with an additional seven selected to All-NEC teams during indoor season. 

Duggan is no stranger to Grymes Hill — He graduated from Wagner College in 2015 with a Master’s degree in childhood education and special education. While with the Seahawks, he served as a graduate assistant with the track & field program.

For his undergraduate years, Duggan attended UConn where he served as team captain for the track & field team for three years. He was also an All-Big East first team selection for three consecutive years and earned UConn’s Outstanding Senior Athlete Award in 2012.

Between his coaching days with Wagner and Union County College, Duggan served as an FDNY firefighter while simultaneously working as a special education teacher in Brooklyn, New York.
