BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Senior Elisa Parazzi has been named the NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
A four-year Seahawk, Parazzi is a senior high jumper from Angera, Italy who graduates from Wagner with a double major in international affairs and economics, adding minors in history and human rights. She finishes her degree with a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Batting injury through the 2025-2026 season, the senior competed just once, logging a 1.53m clearance in high jump at the Seahawk Shootout on December 25. Prior to that, Parazzi's last competition was the 2025 NEC Outdoor Championships, where she won gold in high jump with a 1.63m clearance. Earlier that season, she finished the 2025 NEC Indoor Championships with a collegiate best, winning silver after clearing 1.65m.
Parazzi was a member of Wagner's historic first championships for the women's track & field program, with the team taking both the NEC Indoor Championships and NEC Outdoor Championships for the 2024-2025 season. She also earned the Scholar-Athlete nod for her junior season, finishing the spring semester with a 4.0 GPA to continue building her perfect academic record.
