NEC Baseball Tournament Day One Games Postponed Until Friday

Wappingers Falls, NY — With rain continuing throughout the afternoon, the Northeast Conference has delayed its day one games from Thursday, to Friday, May 23. No. 2 Wagner will face No. 3 CCSU at 4 p.m. EST.

Originally scheduled for Thursday, May 22 at noon, the conference delayed the day's two games by two hours each before ultimately deciding to delay by one day. Friday will begin with a noon EST matchup between No. 1 LIU and No. 4 Stonehill. The remaining games in the bracket have been shifted as well to accommodate the changes.

From there, the two losing teams will face off in an 11 a.m. EST game on Saturday, March 24. The winners of each game will advance to play at 3 p.m. EST on Saturday, then the loser from that game and the morning's game will play in a 7 p.m. EST game to close out the day and determine which team will advance to the championship.

The championship game has been pushed to Sunday, March 25 at 11 a.m. EST, with an if-necessary second game following 30 minutes after instead of the originally-scheduled next day game.
