Men's Lacrosse Announces Two Additions to 2026 Coaching Staff

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Wagner College Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Will Fox has announced the addition of assistant coaches Tyler Foss and Colby Cohen onto the Seahawks' 2026 staff prior to their upcoming season.

Tyler Foss spent the 2024-25 season on the sidelines for Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) member Monmouth acting as an assistant volunteer coach. While with the Hawks, Foss worked directly with the head coach in practice planning, recruiting coordination, game-day strategies, and player development. Foss oversaw the offensive scout team by leading film sessions, chalk talks, in-practice execution, and managing the substitution box during games.

As a coach, Foss served as the head boys' lacrosse coach at Donovan Catholic High School from 2021 to 2024. During his tenure, Foss guided the program to its first Shore-Freedom Division title with an 8–0 record in 2024 and its first-ever Shore Conference Tournament win in 2023. Foss was recognized as the 2024 Shore-Freedom Division Coach of the Year for his efforts. In addition, Foss coaches with Team 91 New Jersey, leading the 2032 boys' team through annual training, tryouts, and tournaments along the East Coast.

A Toms River North alumni, Foss graduated from Kean University in 2019 with a B.S. in Global Fitness and Wellness before earning his M.S. in Exercise Science from Kean.

While a member of the Cougars men's lacrosse team, Foss was a four-year member of the Kean University men's lacrosse program from 2015 to 2019. During his collegiate career, Foss appeared in 54 games, scoring three goals and dishing out eight assists while collecting 73 ground balls and causing 11 miscues.

Foss earned CSAC All-Conference and All-Academic honors in 2019 and was named to the Dean's List each year from 2015 to 2019. Before his time at Kean, Foss served as captain and was named Most Valuable Player of the Toms River North varsity lacrosse team in 2014.

Colby Cohen spent the 2024-25 men's lacrosse campaign as an Assistant Coach with Patriot League member Holy Cross.

In his role, Cohen oversaw faceoff instruction and coordination, assisting with team strategy and scouting, managing of substitution box operations, and supporting video breakdown, equipment management, and recruiting logistics.

Before arriving at Holy Cross, Cohen coached at La Salle College High School from 2023 to 2024, focusing on faceoff development and coordination, assisting with team strategy and scouting, managing of substitution box operations, and supporting video breakdown, and equipment management. Cohen led his faceoff specialist, Stevie Davis, to be named an All American and selected to the New Balance All American Senior game.

Cohen served as an Assistant Coach at The Lawrenceville School from 2020 to 2023, where Cohen helped guide the program from unranked to a No. 1 national ranking within three seasons.

Previously held collegiate coaching stints at the University of Arizona and the College of Mount Saint Vincent.

A specialist in faceoff instruction, Cohen has been a Coach with The Faceoff Academy since 2019, training athletes across multiple regions and helping several achieve All-State and national recognition.

Additionally, Cohen graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2017 with a B.S. in Sports Management. Cohen competed as a faceoff specialist and two-way midfielder for Cortland's club team.

Foss and Cohen join Fox and assistant coach Joe Zukauskas for Wagner's second season being back in the NEC. Previously, Wagner played in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) as the NEC did not sponsor men's lacrosse during the 2023 and 2024 seasons before re-sponsoring the sport prior to the 2025 season.
