Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College men's lacrosse team will embark on its 2025 campaign against the Manhattan Jaspers at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 1 on Hameline Field.
After a two-year hiatus, Northeast Conference (NEC) men's lacrosse makes its return as Head Coach Will makes his debut at the helm of the Seahawks.
Wagner and the LIU Sharks are the only two remaining schools from the 2022 NEC Men's Lacrosse year. Starting in 2025, Robert Morris, Cleveland St., VMI, Le Moyne, Detroit Mercy, and Mercyhurst will make up the rest of the conference along with the Sharks and Seahawks.
Seniors James Rea and Quin Hoke were recently named captains of the Seahawks 2025 roster.
Junior Jake Mitchell returns as Wagner's highest scorer from the 2024 season. Mitchell scored 11 goals and dished out 10 assists last year, highlighted by two-goal, three-assist performance against VMI.Â
Most recently, Saint Joseph's was crowned the regular season champions during the 2022 season of NEC men's lacrosse.
After the Green & White's home opener on Saturday, Wagner will travel to Hofstra for a 3:00 pm faceoff against the Pride on Friday, February 7.Â
The four-team, single-elimination NEC Men's Lacrosse Tournament is scheduled for Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 3 at the site of the highest seed.
