Women’s Basketball Set For Clash At Fairleigh Dickinson On ESPN3 & SNY

The Wagner College women's basketball team will travel to Fairleigh Dickinson for a Northeast Conference (NEC) contest on Saturday, tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 pm on ESPN3 and SNY.

Last Time Out
Wagner earned a 62-52 win over Central Connecticut State on Thursday evening. Redshirt junior Alex Cowan led the way with 21 points and six rebounds on 11-11 shooting from the free-throw line. Graduate student Zhaneia Thybulle netted 17 points, five rebounds and three assists on 6-11 shooting.
Senior Drayah Heyward 11 points, rebounds and four assists.

As a team, the Seahawks shot 17-20 free-throw line while blocking a season-high six shots.

Alex Cowan Continues To Impress
Alex Cowan has scored 20 points in three out of the last four games. The lone game she didn't score 20 points, she tallied 19 against LIU on February 11.

The Bowie, MD native has scored 20 points in six contests this season while averaging a team-high 13.8 points per game. Cowan is also averaging 15.8 points per game throughout conference play.

More Than A Floor General
Zhaneia Thybulle has scored in double figures in nine out of 13 conference contests this season. The Elmont, NY is averaging 10.8 points per game this season while averaging 12.2 points per game throughout conference contests.

Ball Hawks
Wagner is averaging 21.2 forced turnovers per contest and have forced opponents to turn the ball over 20 times in 16 out of 20 games.

The Seahawks are also forcing 9.3 steals per game and have earned at least 10 steals in 13 contests this season.

Scouting FDU
The Knights welcome the Seahawks with a 18-6 overall record and a 10-2 mark in NEC Play. In its last contest, Fairleigh Dickinson fell to Sacred Heart 70-67. The loss put the Knights tied at the top of the NEC standings with Sacred Heart.

Junior Chloe Wilson is one of three Knights to average double figures this season with 16.7 points per game.

The Freeport, NY native is also averaging a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game.
