Philadelphia, PA - The Wagner College men's tennis team will be opening its fall season at the ITA Regionals on Friday, October 7.

This summer, Wagner College welcomed new director of tennis and men's team head coach, Jeff Menaker. Menaker arrives on Grymes Hill after concluding the 2021-22 season as head coach of the men's tennis team and associate head women's coach at Lehman College.  

The men's team welcomes two freshmen to Grymes Hill for the upcoming season. Kunsh Moolchandani from Suriname, and Sebastian Dobson from Australia.

Returning for their senior season will be Seong Gillespie, Omar Loutfy, Abhinav Magow, Tejasvi Mehra, and Jai Sai Venkatramana. Representing the junior class will be Odeda Arazza, Lucas Darling, Aryan Gupta, and Rodrigo Perez. Jordan Hunte will be the only sophomore on the 2022-2023 squad. 

Last year, junior Omar Loufty saw time as the No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 6 singles player. Won four singles matches as the No. 4 player. Won six doubles matches including four as the No. 1 pairing.

As a freshman last year, Perez competed as the No. 2 and No. 3 singles player with two victories. He also saw time at the No.1, No. 2, No. 3 doubles players with four victories and one victory as a member of the No.1 doubles pairing.

The men's team will be traveling to Philadelphia, PA, for the ITA Regionals hosted by University of Pennsylvania.

After a two-week break they will take on Rider at home October 28.
