WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. — The Wagner men's tennis team suffered a shutout loss on the road against Monmouth on Sunday, dropping the match 4-0.
The Seahawks had no answers for Monmouth in the doubles round. All three matches went the way of the home team, as senior
Sebastian Dobson and graduate student
Tom Lamers put up the closest fight on court 3, ultimately losing 6-4.
In the singles round, only three matches were completed before Monmouth clinched the 4-0 victory. All three wins were in straight sets, and while sophomores
Eddie Schmidt and
Joshua Zhao came close to winning their second sets, they each fell short by two games.
